About

Immerse yourself into a weeklong intensive experience as a United Nations delegate!
The Model United Nations Summer Academy is a unique opportunity for rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduating high school seniors to learn how diplomats conduct research, deliver statements, draft resolutions and negotiate. Spend one week at our beautiful New Jersey campus (30 minutes from New York City), meet students from around the world, and learn from a real life diplomat!

Before joining Montclair State University, Professor Toro Carnevali served as a diplomat to the United Nations for 10 years. During that time he was elected vice-president of the First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) of the General Assembly and coordinator of the Security Council’s sub-working group on the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
